Geriatric Teenager
Margaret's Book has been published at last. The second one is well on its way it will be called Flower Power. She has reached the finals in two major competitions with two of her poems. Congratulations Margaret!
Once upon a Break Time
Once upon a break time was written and illustrated by members of wordweavers with children in mind. The front of the book is illustrated with a picture of our youngest member who is an inspiration to us all with his eagerness and avid writing skills. The booklet was launched in December when we had our usual evening of entertainment provided by Joe Christie our resident singer, bingo, quiz, raffles (many good prizes including large food hamper) and a few readings from members of our group. These evenings are not to be thought of as boring nights of people reading poetry, we enjoy the singing and dance the night away. Purchases of the book can be made from any member of the group or from South Moor Library, any difficulty is obtaining a copy can be solved by ringing the library or using the contact numbers. Cost £3.50 The purchases of the book will help enable us to continue producing more work. Thanks to all who have already bought a book and to those who have not yet, it doesn't cost a lot but your child may think it worth it.
Sea to the Stars
The cover for the book Sea to the Stars, written by one of our members. An enthralling story that takes you from the island of Cyprus to beyond. You must read it. It is now on sale on Amazon International price (£8.00) We are to promote the book at our Christmas Party and look forward to seeing more faces. Well done Ian.
Tapestry
Tapestry was produced in Spring 2005 and sold well. It is an interesting Anthology with work from most of the members of the group. It was priced at £2.00 which we knew was below the price it ought to be but, not wanting to be greedy, we opted for the lower price to encourage people to buy and enjoy our work, hopefully for them to purchase future anthologies. It is currently on sale in local libraries or from members of the group. If you are unable to locate a copy please do not hesitate to contact any member or the secretary who will be pleased to obtain a copy for you.
